Place These Mason Jars Outside Your House To Keep The Mosquitoes Away
It is for sure that everyone loves summer, but no one likes the annoying insects and mosquitoes which appear in those hot days. They are highly irritating and prevent us from enjoying the summer nights. The Zika virus epidemic is another and even the most important reason to get rid of these insects.
How to keep mosquitoes away
First of all, make sure you avoid the bug sprays since they contain DEET, a chemical which may cause several health problems such as allergies, skin irritations and even nervous system issues. You should opt for homemade and natural bug sprays instead.
Natural bug sprays
Lemon eucalyptus – essential oil
Many studies have shown the effectiveness of this essential oil at repelling mosquitoes since it is derived from the leaves of the lemon eucalyptus tree.
Citronella – essential oil
This oil has very strong scent which repels mosquitoes and it is derived from lemon grass.
According to some studies, the peels of citrus fruits contain some substances which are effective in repelling mosquitoes as well.
