Big pores on the face are usually considered as both an aesthetical and dermatological problem, which makes the skin look aged and unappealing. They may trigger other skin issues as well, such as blackheads and acne. People who have greasy T-zone are more likely to get big pores.

Most cosmetic products are too expensive and ineffective since they temporary minimize the pores or make the problem even worse.

The main reasons for this dermatological issue are: age factor, long-term exposure to sun, excessive oil production and genetics.

Instead of purchasing expensive beauty products filled with chemicals, you should try to eliminate them naturally. Bear in mind that pores are a natural part of the skin, so you cannot remove them completely.

Here are some natural remedies you can try to eliminate the big pores:

1. Lemon juice and tomato

Make a puree of two tomatoes and add the lemon juice. Mix until you get a paste and apply it to your face. Let the mixture dry for fifteen minutes and then wash your face since both the lemon and tomato have acids that can irritate your skin.

2. Apple cider vinegar

Mix apple cider vinegar and water in equal amounts. Soak a small ball of cotton in the mixture and rub it gently on your face. Leave it for a couple of minutes and wash your face with cool water. Afterwards, apply a moisturizing face cream. You will notice the first results within a few weeks.

3. Ice Cubes

Apply ice cubes to your face or rub them gently for fifteen seconds. Ice cubes will tighten your skin and shrink the pores.

4. Lemon juice and egg white

Make paste from two whites and lemon juice by mixing them. Apply the paste to a clean face and let it stay for fifteen minutes. Then, rinse your skin to remove the extra oil and the dead skin cells.

5. Baking soda

Mix equal amounts of baking soda and water – two tablespoons each. When you get a paste, rub it gently on your face for thirty seconds by using circular motions. Then, rinse it off with cool water.

6. Lemon juice and pineapple

Mix lemon juice and two tablespoons of pineapple juice. Soak a clean piece of cloth in the mixture and put in on your face. Leave for ten minutes and then rinse.

7. Yogurt mask

Apply a thin layer of yogurt on your face and let it stay for ten minutes. If it stays longer it can irritate your skin. Also, make sure you use it only once weekly.

8. Lemon juice and almonds

Soak a few almonds in water overnight. The next morning, grind them into paste and add a tablespoon of lemon juice. Blend the mixture and apply it to your face. Let it act for twenty-five minutes. Then, rinse it off.

9. Aloe Vera

Massage your face with Aloe Vera gel for a few minutes. Make sure the gel is fresh. You can also leave it on your skin for ten minutes and then rinse it off with cool water.

10. Lemon, cucumber and rosewater

Peel the cucumber and remove the flesh part. Add four drops of lemon and one tablespoon of rosewater and spread this mixture on a clean piece of cloth. Apply it to your face and let it dry fro fifteen minutes, then wash your face.
