Many women are constantly painting their hair. But many of us are not sure what color to dye their hair and what color best suits them, so we often experiment. This is not so bad about the appearance as it is bad for the health of the hair.

Constantly changing your hair color involves more aggressive treatments that damage and dry the hair. So if you want to change the color of your hair without fear, we suggest that you turn to the natural ways of dyeing your hair.

Here’s how to get a blonde, brown or red hair dye using natural products.

1. Henna

The powder obtained from henna plant contains natural color pigment that gives amazing results. If you use it alone, it will give you a red-orange color, but if you combine it with chamomile, you will be able to soften the color. This is how to make the paste:

Combine one cup of henna powder and two cups of lemon juice. Let this mixture stay for about 4-6 hours, and then apply it on your hair. Comb your hair well and then wrap it in a plastic wrap, and let it stay that way for about 3 hours. Finally, rinse it with water.

2. Coffee

Mix coffee and hair conditioner in a glass bowl. Mix until you get a past, and then put a towel around your neck to protect your clothes. Using a brush for dyeing or using your fingers, apply the mixture on your hair. You will best apply it if you start from the root of the hair to the ends.

Comb your hair and tie it in a bun. Then put a plastic bag or aluminum foil on your hair. Allow the mixture to act for 1 hour, and if you want a darker color, leave it for another 30 minutes. Wash your hair until it becomes completely clean.

If you treat your hair with this method for the first time, repeat the same process the following day. If you have blond hair or a light hair color, don’t use this treatment.

3. Herbs

There are a lot of herbs that can help you naturally dye your hair.

If you want red color or reddish highlight, you can try using calendula, rosehips, marigold and hibiscus. Boil these herbs in water for 30 minutes. Strain them, let them cool off and pour the mixture on your hair. For best results, let your hair dry under the sun.

For darker hair color, you can try nettle, rosemary or sage. Boil the herb you choose in water for 30 minutes, strain it, let it cool off, and brush it through the hair. Let it stay for about an hour, and rinse it well.

For blonde hair, try saffron, calendula, chamomile, marigold or sunflower petals. Also, you can use rhubarb root for gray hairs. Add catnip for lighter color or black tea for darker. Simmer the herb for 30 minutes, strain it, let it cool down, and then pour it over your hair. Let it act and rinse it.

4. Tea

There are various types of tea that you can use to dye your hair; if you have lighter hair, you can use chamomile tea for blonde hair, and rooibos tea for red hair. If you want a darker color or you want to cover gray hairs, try using black tea.

Put about 4 teabags of the chosen tea in 2 cups of water, let the tea cool down, and then apply it on your hair. You can also add hair conditioner. If you want to cover your gray hairs, combine dried or fresh sage that will help open your hair follicles. Let the tea act for one hour, or during the night and rinse with lukewarm water.

5. Beetroot

Take a medium-size beet, chop it into smaller pieces and boil it. When it’s cooked, wait until it cools down, then drop a few mashed pieces of beets into the boiling water. Use the resulting mixture for hair dyeing and leave to work for 15-20 minutes. Rinse your hair with alcoholic vinegar and dry it.

If you have brighter hair you will get full effect and your hair will be red when you first dye it this way. On the other hand, if you have darker hair you will need to repeat this treatment several times.

6. Walnut shells

Place protective gloves and peel 15-20 walnuts. Cut the green shells into as small pieces as possible and grind them. Add warm water. The mixture needs to become slurry. Use the mixture for hair dyeing, applying it evenly with the help of a brush.

Allow it to act on the hair for 15-20 minutes and rinse thoroughly. In the end, rinse it with alcoholic vinegar, which will help to fixate the color.

7. Lemon juice

Lemon juice is one of the oldest and most famous ways to lighten your hair. Squeeze three lemons and add a spoon of olive oil to the fresh juice. Then, apply it on the hair evenly and spend an hour or two in the sun.

Dyeing your hair with these methods is completely safe and healthy for the hair, so you can repeat the treatment as many times as you like.
