As we age, our facial muscles start to loosen out. This is the reason why many people, especially women spend a lot of money on various cosmetic treatments which can do more harm than good because they aren’t natural and they even have short-term effects.

Today, we are going to present you 8 yoga facial exercises which will give you long-term results in a completely natural way.

They can help you to tone your facial muscles and rejuvenate your skin. By doing these exercises regularly you will make your jawbone more prominent, remove the excess fat in your face and improve the look of your cheekbones.

1. Buddha’s face

Most people grimace or scowl without even realizing it, which, in turn, promotes the formation of lines and wrinkles. “Buddha’s face” exercise, on the other hand, requires you to encourage your face to smile. So, keep your eyes closed and think of Buddha’s facial expression with his calm smile. Then, imagine it has been imposed on your face and try to match the very same expression.

2. Kissing the sky

Sit on a chair and keep your back straight. Lean your head backward and look up at the ceiling. Keep your lips closed but loose. Then, purse your lips like you are about to kiss the ceiling. Stay in this position for a couple of seconds and repeat it at least ten times. You should feel a stretch underside of your neck and jaw while doing this exercise.

3. Firm cheeks

This exercise will strengthen your cheek muscles, thus preventing them from becoming thinner which is very common among middle-aged people. Take a deep breath with your mouth and keep it for a few seconds so that your cheeks are puffed out strongly. Then, release it.

4. Fish face

“Fish face” exercise will make your face sleek and your cheeks less flabby. Purse your lips and suck the inside of your cheeks between the sides of your teeth, in order to make a fish face. Repeat this exercise 5 times.

5. Puppet face

This exercise can reduce the wrinkles that usually form around your mouth. It will also strengthen your cheek muscles. Smile while showing off your teeth. Press your fingertips gently into the creases between your lips and nose. Next, lift these muscles up and press your fingers down.

6. Crow’s feet

This exercise will reduce the lines and wrinkles around your eyes. Open your eyes wide as if you are startled or scared. Then, with your hands pull your skin back.

7. Stick out your tongue

Stick out your tongue as far as it can go. Hold it in this position for about 1 minute and repeat the exercise three times.

8. Chew a gum

This isn’t a yoga exercise but it is useful in fighting the signs of aging. Namely, chewing gums provides consistent and steady movement of facial muscles if done in moderation. This helps your muscles to stay toned and makes your skin much firmer and smoother.
